Love can Hold the Sun

By Commission
cost: $20
I loved the sunset inside the hands, which were a new challenge but I (and my buyer!!) was very happy with how they turned out :) At first I thought to just make the hands a straight solid black silhouette, but I think this semi-highlighted shading fits the background  much better. I'm always open for advice and opinions, so let me know what you feel!

Psalm 19

I took this picture myself, did a little color editing, and then painted it :) I absolutely love the tones in the edited photo, but the flash on my camera (to save it to my computer) kinda changed the tones in the painting.. at least its still pretty close. I love the bird in the photo, but I left him out of the painting, because I didn't want anything drawing attention away from the sunshine itself.
For the sun and the water, I used my pallet knife, which is currently my absolute favorite painting tool ever! :) I love learning new techniques! (I guess I should throw in a brief tribute to Bob Ross, who was my inspiration for even purchasing one :P)

And, to finish up, every time i see sun rays like this (mostly when I'm at the beach) it reminds me of God. I think Psalm 19 fits pretty well.

Warriors

The details in this drawing aren't my best, because it's so small. I drew this under the specifications given to me by a friend. He said "a battle-exhausted warrior, on the field, all black and white with dark green as the only color." so this is what popped in my head haha. I threw the dragons in there last minute because it just looked like they would fit. It was my friend's idea to put the faithful wolf in also.
sorry about the fuzziness and lack of details, but it was just free sketching :)

You knew it was coming ... haha I loved these books, and I cannot wait for the movie to come out. This just started out as a pencil sketch, but I edited it on the computer to try and make it look a little nicer.
